Dear girl who thinks she eats too much (a.k.a. the girl who used to be me):

We get it that it can seem scary, we've all been conditioned to believe that being hungry and feeling deprived is a critical part of losing weight. But we want to tell you: THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.

Cutting numbers are set at a calculated caloric deficit. They should take some strategy to hit without going over...they should be a bit of a challenge--BUT DO-ABLE. In a cut you should feel satisfied--not overly full but not hungry (maybe mentally but not physically). Having a consistent calorie intake is THE foundation of any successful nutrition plan. This means eating about the same every day. Of course things will happen, birthdays, date nights, stress outs--consistency doesn't mean perfection...but it will take a concerted effort on your part to get results! But of course you know that!!

Yes it DOES seems counter-intuitive but to get the lean and toned look that every woman wants--YOU HAVE TO EAT. Right now most of you are cutting to lose fat, but you can't cut down to muscle that isn't there. And it's very hard to build muscle in a calorie deficit. So make the most of this cutting period, be dedicated and consistent... and then reverse to maintenance--to your calorie balance--and feed yourself enough of the right macros to build that body of yours--the one that flawed as it may sometimes seem--you are oh-so-lucky-to-have it.

As it turns out--transforming your body is as much about allowing yourself to have as it is about sacrifice.
